Memphis Redbirds News Release
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Saturday evening's contest between the Memphis Redbirds and Round Rock Express has been postponed due to inclement weather.
The game will be made up as part of a 5:05 p.m. CT doubleheader on Sunday, June 29, when the two teams will play a pair of seven-inning contests. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m.
A fireworks extravaganza will follow the conclusion of the second game of Sunday's doubleheader.
Tickets from tonight's rainout can be exchanged at the box office for any future 2014 regular season contest, excluding July 4.
The Redbirds will send right-hander Boone Whiting to the hill in the 5:05 p.m. twinbill opener against Round Rock lefty Robbie Ross Jr. (0-0, 0.00). Righty Zach Petrick (4-3, 4.48) will start the finale against Round Rock righty Luke Jackson (NR).
