Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

The Salt Lake Bees scored four unanswered runs to secure a 7-6 victory over the Isotopes on Sunday night. The loss marks Albuquerque's 10th straight, matching the Isotopes all-time losing streak set by the 2011 club.

The Isotopes were able to jump out to a quick lead when Stephen Cardullo's single drove home Alex Castellanos in the first inning.

Albuquerque would go on to plate three runs in the second inning. Jeff Bianchi got the scoring started, singling home the Chris Nelson. Mike Tauchman would then go on to bring home Bianchi and Castellanos on a double to left field.

The Isotopes kept the runs coming in the third inning when Dustin Garneau led off the frame with a solo home run. Garneau now has five home runs on the year for the Isotopes with 67 at-bats.

Albuquerque would go on to plate their final run in the bottom of the fifth inning with Garneau's second RBI of the contest, singling home Cardullo.

The six runs scored by the Isotopes were the most by the club since June 16 when they also scored six runs in El Paso.

Isotopes starter Shane Carle left the game with a no-decision. The 24-year-old right-hander allowed three runs on nine hits, walking none, and striking out six.

Rockies rehabbing reliever Adam Ottavino took the loss, allowing three runs while just recording two outs in the eighth inning. Isotopes pitching allowed a combined six walks in the frame. The seven total walks surrendered by Isotopes pitching on the night is a new season-high.

Albuquerque and Salt Lake are back in action tomorrow evening from Isotopes Park. Left-hander Harrison Musgrave (3-4, 4.68) will get the nod for the Isotopes. He will be opposed by Bees righty Kyle McGowin (3-4, 6.06). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
