Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look to make it five in a row when they continue their series with the Louisville Bats on Friday night. First pitch from Louisville Slugger Field is slated for 7:05 p.m.
RHP Ben Lively (4-3, 3.63) gets the ball for the IronPigs on Friday night. The Pensacola, Fla., native was tagged with the loss on Sunday vs. Buffalo when he gave up six runs (three earned) on 11 hits while walking two and fanning five in 4.2 IP. Back in his Triple-A debut on May 27, Lively allowed two runs on five hits over seven innings of work in a no-decision against Louisville.
LHP John Lamb (1-2, 9.22) will toe the rubber for the Bats opposite Lively in the second game of this four-game set. Lamb's last start came with the Reds on Saturday vs. Milwaukee when he was dealt the loss after surrendering nine runs on nine hits to go along with a pair of walks and three strikeouts in 2.0 IP. The southpaw was 1-7 with a 6.43 ERA in 14 GS with the Reds this season.
With a three-hit game in the series opener on Thursday, Pigs 1B Brock Stassi has hit safely in 10 of his last 12 games. Stassi is hitting .429-3-9 (18-42, 5 2B, 7 R, 7 BB) during that stretch.
