IronPigs Open Red-Hot Homestand Saturday

(Allentown, Pa.) - Warm weather is on tap as the IronPigs return home on Saturday and commence an eight-game, nine-day homestand at Coca-Cola Park. Fireworks, great premium giveaways, an appearance by WWE Superstar Jerry "The King" Lawler and a Mother's Day Celebration featuring a "Pigs Go Pink" Jersey auction are all part of the upcoming home slate.

Tickets for all upcoming IronPigs home games can be purchased in-person at Coca-Cola Park, by calling (610) 841-PIGS or online at ironpigsbaseball.com. Prices for single-game tickets remain identical for the third consecutive season and start as low as $6 for General Admission, granting fans access to the Capital BlueCross Lawn seating area and standing room only areas. Field Level reserved seats are just $9.

Please note that only General Admission tickets remain for this weekend's Saturday and Sunday games. On Tuesday, only a limited number of Field Level seats are available and all General Admission tickets are sold out.

With temperatures expected to climb into the mid-80s, the IronPigs and Indianapolis Indians open a four-game set at Coca-Cola Park on Saturday at 6:35 p.m. As with all Saturday home games in 2010, the AT&T Plaza gate will open extra early at 4:30 p.m. for an hour-long Saturday Night Happy Hour Concert featuring the band Faded Fortune. Come hungry and thirsty and enjoy $1 hot dogs (from vendors only) and $3 Bud and Bud Light Drafts while listening to live music and watching batting practice from the AT&T Plaza.

Immediately following the game fans will be treated to another spectacular fireworks display courtesy of Coors Light.

The weekend heat continues on Sunday with a 1:35 p.m. start time for 60's Day and to celebrate the occasion, the first 3,500 fans will receive a unique Tie-Dye Baseball presented by the National M.S. Society. The Sunday game will also be the first of nine IronPiglet Kids Club Days (Plan A) presented by The Lehigh Valley Zoo.

Immediately following Sunday's game, all children 12 and under can show off their speed with the ever-popular Kids Run the Bases post-game promotion presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network.

The IronPigs four-game series with the Indians continues on Monday night at 7:05 p.m. with Martial Arts Night highlighted by pre-game, on-field karate demonstrations. Other pre-game activities include a Morning Call pre-game autograph session with select IronPigs players from 6:00-6:20 p.m. on the main concourse. Be sure to pick up a copy of Sunday's Morning Call to receive the IronPigs photo insert featuring popular IronPig players, Andy Tracy and Joe Savery.

Monday is also Miller-Keystone Blood Center Community Night which will help raise awareness for a pair of community organizations, the Muscular Dystrophy Organization and the Cancer Support Community.

The IronPigs-Indians series concludes with Education Day presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network on Tuesday morning at 10:35 a.m. Only a limited number of Field Level seats remain for this game.

Following an off-day Wednesday, the IronPigs begin a four-game series with the Columbus Clippers on Thursday evening at 7:05 p.m.

This jammed-packed, weekend series includes an appearance by WWE Superstar Jerry "The King" Lawler, Friday Night Fireworks presented by Lehigh Valley International Airport, an IronPigs Travel Mug Giveaway presented by Phoebe Ministries, a Mother's Day Pink Visor giveaway courtesy of Deb & Joe Corcoran at Keller Williams Real Estate and much more! Additional information on this exciting weekend set will be made available on Monday, May 3 at ironpigsbaseball.com.

With the exception of Saturday home games, the Main Gates open 75 minutes prior to game time while the Club Level gates open 90 minutes before scheduled first pitch time.

Fans are reminded that there are three entry points for parking and are encouraged to use the Dauphin Street entrance when traveling from downtown Allentown. In addition to the Dauphin Street entrance, entry to Coca-Cola Park can be gained off American Parkway and Union Boulevard. Preferred/Handicapped Parking access is available via American Parkway only.

The cost of parking for all IronPigs home games is $3 per vehicle.
