Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release

The IronPigs (29-24) play the finale of a four-game series against the first-place Gwinnett Braves (32-21) at Coolray Field... With a 6-3 win last night, the Pigs snapped their season-high, six-game losing streak and improved to 1-6 on this eight-game South Division road trip. Prior to the official start of the trip, the Pigs went 10-3 in their prior 13 contests to reach a high-water mark of 10-games above .500 on May 23... The Braves -- Atlanta's top affiliate -- had their winning streak snapped at five, one short of tying their season-best, six-game streak, April 9-14. Still, the G-Braves have gone 7-3 in their last 10 affairs.

RHP Tyler Cloyd (4-1, 2.15) will start for LHV against RHP Todd Redmond (5-3, 2.47).

First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m... LHV will next return home for an eight-game homestand beginning Friday against the first-place Pawtucket Red Sox (34-20).

SAVING SNOUT?:

With a win tonight, the Pigs will salvage the road trip-finale and force a split of the four-game series in Gwinnett -- which would allow them to come home 2-6 from the trip. Either way, this won't be the worst all-time road trip: the Pigs started their franchise history going 0-8 from 4/3/08-4/10/08 @ SWB, @ PAW... They've also had a 1-6 (2008) and a 1-5 (2008)...
