WHAT A COMEBACK!: The Red Wings yesterday defeated Charlotte 11-10 in 10 innings after erasing a 10-6 deficit in the 9th. The Wings overcame their largest 9th-inning deficit to win since July 12, 2008, when they came back from a 6-1 hole in the 9th at Durham (Rays) to win 9-8 in 13 innings.

a Both of the Red Wings' wins in this series at Charlotte have been of the come-from-behind variety, their first such victories away from Frontier Field. The Red Wings' first 7 come-from-behind triumphs came along Morrie Silver Way.

a Rochester has won back-to-back games for the first time since winning 2 straight May 18-19. The Wings tonight go for their 3rd win a row, which would be their longest winning streak since a season-best 4-game run May 3-5.

a A win tonight would also give the Red Wings their first series win against Charlotte since a 4-game sweep May 8-11, 2009 at Frontier Field.

PLAYING SOME DECENT BALL: The Red Wings are 8-7 beginning May 15 and 13-14 beginning May 3. The Wings are also 13-16 in May after going 9-14 in April. If the Wings win tonight, they would post their most victories in a month since going 20-20 in August/September 2009. The Wings had 13 wins last July.

a At 22-30, Rochester is one game better than the 2011 club at this point in the season and 3 games better than the 2010 squad at the same point.

HEATING UP: The Red Wings last night scored a season-high 11 runs, tied a season high with 18 hits, recorded a season-best 8 extra-base hits, and collected a season-high 30 total bases. The Wings also banged out 18 hits May 21 vs. Gwinnett.

a Coupled with 7 runs Tuesday at Charlotte, the Red Wings have scored 18 runs in their last 2 games. That is the club's highest run total of any 2-game stretch since scoring a combined 18 June 1-2, 2011 vs. Toledo (Tigers).

a The Red Wings have scored 102 runs in 29 games in May, an average of 3.5 per game. Rochester scored 71 runs in 23 contests in April, an average of only 3.1 per game.

a The Red Wings have scored more than 5 runs on just 7 occasions, but 5 of those efforts have come in their last 11 games. Rochester has scored 50 runs in its last 11 games, an average of 4.5 per game in that time.

a The Red Wings still rank last in the league with 173 runs scored, but are closing the gap on Lehigh Valley (Phillies), which has 184.

EXTRA! EXTRA!: The Red Wings have recorded at least one extra-base hit in 26 consecutive games, their longest such streak in one season since the final 27 games of the 2010 campaign. That streak began with the 2nd game of an August 10 doubleheader vs. Gwinnett. Do note, the Wings logged at least one extra-base hit in their first 4 games of 2011 to extend the run to 31 games.

MISSING MISCUES: The Red Wings have gone a season-high 5 straight games without committing an error, their longest such streak since the final 5 games of the 2011 season. The Wings' last miscue was a Matt Carson throwing error in the 8th inning Friday at Gwinnett.

a Rochester last went at least 6 consecutive games without an error May 23-30, 2011, when they went 7 in a row without a miscue.

AND THE TONY GOES TO...: Anthony Slama last night recorded his 9th save to match Jim Hoey's team high from 2011. With Casey Fien's 8 saves in 2012, the Red Wings have 2 pitchers with 8 or more saves in the same season for the first time since 2008, when Bobby Korecky posted 26 and Tim Lahey logged 8.

CALLING ALL STARS: Online voting for the 2012 Triple-A All-Star Game is underway. The game, featuring the International League and the Pacific Coast League, will be played July 11 at Buffalo's Coca-Cola Field. Fans can vote by visiting RedWingsBaseball.com and clicking on the "Fan Zone" tab.

a Leading Red Wings candidates include Anthony Slama, owner of 9 saves, a 0.40 ERA, and a 17.0 consecutive scoreless innings streak; and Matt Carson, who leads Rochester with a .296 average, 50 hits, 19 extra-base hits, 15 doubles, 16 RBI, 75 total bases, and 23 runs.
