Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The fifth-place IronPigs (45-70) play Game One of a four-game series against the second-place Buffalo Bisons (60-54) -- Atlanta's top affiliate. With a 5-2 loss in 10 innings last night, the Pigs were swept by Gwinnett and have started 0-4 on this eight-game homestand. They have now lost 12 of their last 13 affairs after winning six of seven, July 19-25... Buffalo has won four straight contests having just swept Columbus at Coca-Cola Field. The Bisons have now reeled off wins in eight of their last nine games to reclaim second place in the North... Prior, they had lost eight of nine.
LHP Brian Mazone (6-11, 3.65) will start for LHV against LHP Michael Antonini (NR; 6-9, 4.32 in AA).
First-pitch tonight is at 7:05 p.m. and features a Phillie Phanatic appearance, presented TD Bank.
