INDIANAPOLIS -- Outfielder Brandon Moss has been named the Indianapolis Indians' Player of the Month for July. He will accept the award - a custom-made watch courtesy of Windsor Jewelers - before tonight's home contest against the Norfolk Tides.

Moss batted .315 (34-for-108) with 19 runs scored, eight doubles, eight home runs and 31 RBI during the season's fourth month. The outfielder's 31 RBI in the month of July was the highest total for an International League player and gave him the fourth best mark in all of professional baseball from July 1-31.

The left-handed slugger reached base safely via a hit or a walk in 24 of his 28 games played in July and recorded at least one hit on 20 different occasions. Moss also enjoyed a season-high 12-game hitting streak from July 6-21, during which time he posted a .377 batting average (20-for-53) with 11 runs scored, four doubles, four home runs and 13 RBI.

The Indians' outfielder has been one of the most consistent contributors for the Tribe offense this season, and, among current players, he leads the team in games played (108), at-bats (397), runs scored (59), hits (107), doubles (26), home runs (19), RBI (78), total bases (192) and stolen bases (9).

The Indians begin an eight-game homestand tonight when they take on the Norfolk Tides at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for tonight's and all other remaining home games are available by going online at www.IndyIndians.com, visiting the Victory Field Box Office at 501 West Maryland Street or calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000.
