Allentown, Pennsylvania - In a thrilling battle, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (7-11) emerged with a 4-3 win in 11 innings over the Worcester Red Sox (8-10) on Friday night at Coca-Cola Park.

David Hamilton singled to kick off the ballgame for the WooSox and then stole second. Niko Goodrum brought him in for the first run of the game with a two-out single.

Weston Wilson tied the game immediately in the bottom half of the inning, drilling a solo homer, his fifth of the season.

After Bobby Dalbec was hit by a pitch, Enmanuel Valdez knocked a triple to center, scoring Dalbec, to put the WooSox back on top 2-1 in the top of the third.

Again the IronPigs answered in the bottom of the inning. Wilson was hit by a pitch and then stole second and moved to third on a groundout. A John Hicks sacrifice fly scored Wilson to tie the game.

Hicks doubled to begin the sixth. Scott Kingery bunted him to third and Vimael Machin brought Hicks home with a single to give Lehigh Valley their first lead of the night at 3-2.

In the seventh, Worcester tied the game. Two walks and a single loaded the bases with one out, where Hamilton brought home the tying run with a sacrifice fly.

Both teams were turned away scoreless until the 11th inning. After Kingery walked to start the inning, the placed runner at second, Hicks, swiped third. Simon Muzziotti then lofted a flyball into shallow centerfield that was dropped, with the resulting error allowing Hicks to score as the IronPigs walked-off with a 4-3 win.

Trey Cobb (1-1) picked up the win for the IronPigs. Cobb worked a scoreless 11th, walking one and striking out one.

Norwith Gudino (1-3) took the loss for the WooSox, allowing an unearned run, walking one and striking out one.

Michael Plassmeyer didn't factor in to the decision but turned in a solid outing for the IronPigs. Plassmeyer allowed just two runs on three hits, walking one and striking out seven.
