Aberdeen IronBirds News Release
Aberdeen, MD - The Aberdeen IronBirds, in conjunction with Minor League Baseball and in cooperation with the American Red Cross, will be hosting a Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund Collection at Ripken Stadium on September 5th and 6th to aid victims of Hurricane Katrina. By making a financial gift to Hurricane 2005 Relief, the Red Cross can provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.
Donations to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund can be made with cash or check (made payable to American Red Cross). The Red Cross donation area will be located in front of the administrative office between 5 and 7 p.m., and then on the concourse once the games begin.
In support of the collection, the IronBirds will be giving a free hat to the first 500 people who make donations at the stadium.
