
Iowa Wolves Acquire 2nd Round Pick in Trade with Wisconsin Herd

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Wolves announced today that the team has acquired a second-round pick in the 2023 NBA G League Draft from the Wisconsin Herd in exchange for guard Brandon Sampson. The second-round pick was originally acquired by the Herd from the Raptors 905.
In his second season with the Wolves, Sampson, 6-5, has played in 31 games (12 starts), averaging 9.5 points on 44.4% shooting, 2.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 22.1 minutes per game.
Sampson has spent parts of five seasons (197 career games) in the G League, averaging 13.8 points per game on 44.8% shooting. Sampson appeared in 14 games (two starts) with the Chicago Bulls in 2018-19, averaging 5.1 points per game on 46.7% shooting. He went undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft after playing three seasons for Louisiana State.
