SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - NBA G League Ignite (7-12) fell to the Memphis Hustle (15-5), 116-114, on Thursday at Landers Center in Southaven, Miss.
Sidy Cissoko led Ignite with a final stat line of 23 points, six rebounds and six assists on 9-of-15 shots from the field, including 5-of-9 from behind the arc. Scoot Henderson (20 points, 14 assists) and Leonard Miller (18 points, 14 rebounds) recorded a double-double. Miller made it four-straight games with a double-double, while Henderson added seven rebounds and three blocks to top his stellar night. John Jenkins added 18 points, three assists and two rebounds.
Kenneth Lofton Jr. paced the Hustle with a game-high 26 points and 12 rebounds. Matt Hurt followed with 22 points and seven rebounds, while Jake LaRavia finished with 20 points. Ziaire Williams added 17 points, five rebounds and three assists.
The Hustle took an early four-point lead after the first quarter behind Jake LaRavia, who scored 15 of his 20 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field, including 2-of-5 from the three-point line. The Hustle went on an 18-4 run in the second quarter en route to extending its lead by 18 points in the frame. Ignite battled back to cut its deficit to 10 points at the halfway mark, led by Scoot Henderson and Sidy Cissoko, who recorded 11 points apiece in the first half.
Ignite turned it up on the defensive end by holding the Hustle to 20 points on 25 percent shooting from the field and 16.7 percent from behind the arc in the third quarter. Mojave King poured 10 of his 15 points in the frame to help Ignite take a 93-88 lead heading into the fourth quarter. The final period saw six lead changes as both teams traded buckets for the entire quarter. The Hustle outscored Ignite 28-21 in the fourth quarter to edge out the victory.
