
Iowa Shoots 59.5% on Night to Post Fourth Straight Win

DES MOINES, IA - Energy starting guards Jeff Trepagnier and Curtis Stinson shot a combined 19 of 33 from the field and combined for 46 points as the Iowa Energy swept the weekend series with Ft. Wayne with a 120-97 victory Saturday night.
Stinson got the Energy rolling early as he scored eight points in the first quarter to help Iowa to a two point lead at the end of the period. Iowa broke open a close game with a 10-2 run in the third quarter. Trepagnier scored six points in that stretch to help put Iowa up by 12.
The Energy put the game away in the fourth quarter as they outscored Ft. Wayne 36-24 in the final stanza. The win marks the sixth Energy victory in as many games with the Mad Ants this season.
For the second consecutive night, Iowa outrebounded Ft. Wayne by a significant margin. After winning that category by ten rebounds last night, Iowa won the battle of the boards by 18.
Ft. Wayne was led by Rob Kurz 23 points and 10 rebounds. The loss drops Ft. Wayne to 9-16 on the season.
Iowa continues to lead the league with a 20-5 record.
