
Iowa Energy Cruise to 116-93 Win in Canton

Canton, Ohio - The Iowa Energy (5-2) won 116-93 over the Canton Charge (2-4) Saturday night at the Canton Memorial Civic Center.
The Energy were led by Memphis Grizzlies assignee James Ennis with 32 points, six rebounds and two assists. Joel Wright added 22 points and Andrew Harrison added 21. Alex Stepheson picked up another double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds.
Joel Wright got the Energy off to a hot start with a couple quick baskets to start the game. Iowa continued to shoot the ball well, building a 12-point lead halfway through the first. Wright led the Energy with 10 points as they held a 27-18 advantage after the first. In the second quarter, the Energy were led by James Ennis with 14 points and Lazeric Jones with 11 as the Energy built a 21-point lead over the Charge to hold a 60-39 halftime lead.
The Energy continued to control the game with Ennis, Harrison and Wright setting the pace for Iowa in the second half. Iowa extended their lead to 34-points early in the fourth and would go on to win 116-93. The Energy shot 53 percent (39-73) from the field and hit 32-38 (84 percent) from the free-throw line and never trailed in the game.
The Energy return home this Wed., Dec. 9 at 7pm against the Canton Charge. It's team poster giveaway and $1 hot dogs through halftime.
