Iowa Energy Announce 2014-15 Regular Season Schedule

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Energy's 2014-2015 schedule will feature seventeen weekend dates, including eight Saturday nights, as the franchise looks to defend its league record fourth division title.

The Energy will tip-off their eighth season on the road against the Reno Bighorns on November 14 at 7 p.m as part of five consecutive road games to start the campaign.

Opening Night at Wells Fargo Arena will be Saturday, December 6 at 7 p.m. against the Delaware 87ers. The following afternoon, the Energy host the Texas Legends at 4 p.m. The team will play twenty-four home games at Wells Fargo Arena.

"With nearly three-fourths of our home games on the weekend, this schedule is ideal for our fan base," said Energy General Manager Chris Makris. "We look forward to defending our Division Championship and competing for another NBA D-League title."

The Energy will again play in the NBA D-League's Central Division with Sioux Falls, Oklahoma City, Austin, Texas and Rio Grande Valley. The Central Division had three teams in last year's NBA D-League Playoffs.

In addition to today's schedule release, the Energy will take part in the NBA D-League Showcase to be held in early January. Opponents, dates and times for the Showcase will be announced at a later date.

The Energy plan on releasing their full promotional schedule in the coming weeks.
