BayHawks Announce 2014-15 Schedule

Erie, Pennsylvania, Tuesday, September 9 - The NBA Development League today released the 2014-15 schedule, which includes the Erie BayHawks traveling to Idaho to play the Stampede twice on opening weekend, November 14-15. The following weekend, November 21-22, the BayHawks play their first home games of the season and host the defending D-League National Champions, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. This marks the only time Erie plays Fort Wayne at home this season.
The newly located Grand Rapids Drive, formerly the Springfield Armor the past five seasons, will visit Erie on December 6. The BayHawks also welcome new D-League franchise, the Westchester Knicks, to Erie Insurance Arena for the first time on January 23.
With the expansion to an 18-team league, a fourth division has been added, placing the BayHawks in the Atlantic Division along with Maine, Westchester, Delaware and Canton. Erie will play each team in the division six times throughout the season (three home and three away). The BayHawks still remain in the Eastern Conference along with the Central Division. Conference games occupy 39 of the BayHawks 48 game season.
Two additional games will be played at the annual League Showcase in mid-January and those dates and opponents will be announced in the coming weeks.
Of Erie's 24 home games, 16 of them fall on a weekend date, with three back-to-back Friday/Saturday games throughout the season. Some marquee promotions are set including: Orlando Magic Affiliate Night (January 9), School Kids Jam (February 5), Celebrate Your Faith Night (February 28) and Salute Our Troops Day (March 8). A full schedule of promotions and special events will be announced at a later date.

This marks the team's first season as affiliate of the Orlando Magic, as well as the first with Bill Peterson as head coach.
