
Legends Announce 2014-15 Season Schedule, 19 Weekend Games in Home Schedule

FRISCO, TX, (Sep. 9, 2014) - The Texas Legends will open the 2014-15 NBA Development League season with a two-game road trip to the West coast prior to their home opener, traveling to Bakersfield Nov. 14th and Los Angeles Nov. 15th. November consists of back-to-back homestands, opening with Santa Cruz (21st) and Austin (22nd) followed by a double-header against Bakersfield (28th, 29th). In a 24-game home schedule, the Legends will host 19 weekend dates, seven on Fridays and 12 on Saturdays.
The Legends have a schedule of 48 games throughout the 2014-15 season hosting 24 at home and hitting the road for 24. The League has added two new teams-the Detroit Pistons affiliate, the Grand Rapids Drive and the New York Knicks affiliate, the Westchester Knicks. The League now has 18 teams and has realigned the divisions, splitting the League into the Eastern and Western Conferences which will be organized as follows:
Eastern Conference:
Atlantic Division-Maine, Westchester, Delaware, Erie, Canton
Central Division-Fort Wayne, Grand Rapids, Sioux Falls, Iowa
Western Conference:
Southwest Division-Oklahoma City, Texas, Rio Grande Valley, Austin
West Division-Bakersfield, Idaho, Reno, Santa Cruz, Los Angeles
The schedule breaks down as follows with the Legends playing 11 games in the Eastern Conference and 37 in the Western Conference.

The Legends' longest home stretch is 4 games Nov. 21, 22, 28, 29 hosting Santa Cruz (21st), Austin (22nd) and Bakersfield (28th, 29th). The longest road streak of 4 games will begin Jan. 22 in Austin, head to Westchester (24th), Delaware (25th) and finish in Rio Grande Valley on Jan. 30.
The Legends will play 15 back-to-back series, three with the same opponent both nights and six being homestands.
