DRV PNK Stadium is set to host Bitcoin Pizza Day presented by XBTO at Inter Miami CF's home match this Sunday, May 22. One lucky fan will take home $4,999 worth of Bitcoin. What is Bitcoin Pizza Day? Eleven years ago on May 22, 2010, one of the early adopters of Bitcoin purchased a pair of Papa John's pizzas using 10,000 Bitcoins. The purchase equated to roughly $41 dollars in 2010, based on the going rate for Bitcoin at that time, and is widely viewed as the first time a virtual currency had been used to buy anything in the real world.

In partnership with XBTO, Inter Miami CF aims to educate fans on crypto and how it is being used in our everyday lives. XBTO is a seven-year-old cryptofinance firm that uses sophisticated financial and quantitative skills to help blockchain companies and institutional investors create a stable and prosperous crypto ecosystem.

Fans will have the ability to enter the Bitcoin giveaway via QR code sign-in stations that will be located at DRV PNK Stadium near Gates 1, 2 and 3. The lucky fan will then be invited on the pitch for a halftime presentation to collect their reward of $4,999 worth of Bitcoin and have the option to take pictures on the field after the match.

Fans also have the opportunity to obtain complimentary tickets to this weekend's match by ordering pizza from select Papa John's restaurants located within the vicinity of DRV PNK Stadium. Lucky customers who place orders from these locations, could receive their pizza orders with an Inter Miami CF branded box topper. Be sure to scan the QR code to view whether you have won complimentary tickets (while supplies last). The box toppers will also include a QR code to purchase tickets at a discounted price.
