CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC today announced that the Club has signed Homegrown goalkeeper Chris Brady to a new contract. Brady is now under contract with the Club through the 2026 season with a Club option for 2027.
"Chris is a highly talented young goalkeeper, and this new contract is a testament to our belief in him and his abilities as a player," said Chicago Fire FC Sporting Director Georg Heitz. "We've seen tremendous growth from Chris over the last two years, during his time on loan with Forward Madison and more recently with our CFFC II team, and we believe that he has a very bright future with the Fire."

Brady, 18, originally became the 19th Homegrown signing in Club history on March 24, 2020. In his debut campaign as a professional, Brady spent the 2020 season on loan with USL League One side, Forward Madison FC, establishing himself as the starting goalkeeper midway through the season.
"I'm super excited and grateful for this new opportunity," said Brady. "I love this Club and always have since I was a kid. It's an amazing feeling to have a chance to make my family, my team, our supporters and my city proud. I cannot express how grateful I am to the people who've helped and supported me all throughout my journey so far. Thank you to every coach who has challenged me to be better and every teammate who has pushed me to be best goalkeeper I can be. I cannot express how grateful my family and I are for this opportunity. I can't wait to get started."
In eight starts, the Naperville, Ill. native posted three shutouts, tied for fourth-most in the league, recording 19 saves. Brady was subsequently named USL League One's Young Player of the Year for his performances with Forward Madison in his rookie season.
In 2022, Brady has featured four times (four starts) for Chicago Fire FC II in MLS NEXT Pro. Internationally, has earned caps with the U-15 and U-20 U.S. Men's Youth Men's National Teams.
