FC Dallas News Release

FRISCO, Texas - FC Dallas Homegrown and Designated Player Jesús Ferreira was named to MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Week for Week 11 following the 3-1 road win against LA Galaxy on Saturday, May 14 at Dignity Health Sports Park. This is Ferreira's third Team of the Week appearance this season and 10th overall since 2019.

Ferreira, 21, scored his third MLS career brace in the 11th and 23rd minutes. His two goals propelled Ferreira to the top of the Golden Boot race with nine goals through 11 matches. He also became the fastest player to record three multi-goal games in a season in FC Dallas history (three multi-goal games in 11 matches in 2022).

Ferreira's first goal began with a pass from Matt Hedges to Ema Twumasi near the center line who sent a through ball to Jáder Obrian and linked Ferreira with a low cross for an easy tap-in. Ferreira's second goal came from a fast break after Marco Farfan sent a through ball to Ferreira who drew Galaxy's goalkeeper out of the net for a close-range goal.

This is the sixth time this season a member of FC Dallas has earned MLS Team of the Week honors.
