FLORENCE, SC -- The Columbia Inferno scored six second-period goals en route to a 9-2 win over the Florence Pride in front of 3,192 fans at the Florence Civic Center.

Tim Smith netted a hat trick for the Inferno, while Derek Eastman and Paul Cabana each notched a pair of goals.

Josh Piro scored the first goal of the night for the Pride in his first game with Florence since being claimed off of waivers earlier in the week.

The Pride and Inferno meet again Saturday afternoon at the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia with a special 2:00 p.m. start. All of the action on WDAR Sunny 105.5 and www.florencepride.com starts with the Palmetto Chiropractic Pre-Game Show at 1:40.

Florence returns home Thursday, March 4, hosting the Columbus Cottonmouths at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for that game, and all remaining Pride home games, are available at the Florence Civic Center Box Office, or through TicketMaster at (843) 679-9333 or www.ticketmaster.com.
