
INF Jon Townsend activated from DL

Cedar Rapids Kernels News Release
The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announce that INF Jon Townsend has been activated from the disabled list. Abe Flores, Director of Player Development for the LA Angels, announced the move on Sunday.
Townsend was placed on the DL on May 18 with a right foot sprain. Today's move was announced prior to the Kernels 2:05 pm game with Lansing.
To make room on the Kernels roster, INF Michael Wing has been assigned to extended Spring Training. With today's roster moves, the Kernels roster is at the MWL maximum of 25 active players, with one player on the disabled list.
The Kernels wrap up a six game home stand on Memorial Day, May 25th against the Lansing Lugnuts at 2:05 pm.
