Mahoning Valley Scrappers News Release
Niles, Ohio - Shortstop Francisco Lindor will make his professional debut on Sunday, August 28th, when the Scrappers host the Jamestown Jammers at 5:05 pm at Eastwood Field.
The Indians reached a deal with the 17-year-old Lindor prior to the signing deadline and assigned him to Mahoning Valley. He has been participating in team workouts since joining the Scrappers on August 17th, but Sunday will be his first live game action.

This past year, he hit .528 with six home runs, seven doubles and two triples. He drove in 13 runs, scored 32 runs and stole 20 bases. He was originally committed to play at Florida State before signing with Cleveland.
Tickets are still available for Sunday's game, which also features Baseball Brawl 2 with Mick Foley, Al Snow, Jimmy Hart and more. For more information, please call (330) 505-0000.
