
Indians Sign RHP Larrison to Bisons

The Cleveland Indians announced that they have signed RHP Preston Larrison to a minor league contract. The Tribe also recalled RHP Jensen Lewis and RHP Brian Slocum from the Buffalo Bisons.
Larrison has spent his entire professional career in the Detroit Tigers organization after being selected in the 2nd round of the 2001 draft out of Evansville. He spent the entire 2008 season in relief with Toledo where he went 2-2 with a 3.31ERA in 29 games (35.1IP, 29H, 13ER, 15BB, 19K). He recently exercised a free agent opt-out clause in his contact.
Larrison owns an eight-year minor league career record of 34-44 with a 3.75ERA in 198 games and 103 starts (698.2IP, 291ER).
Lewis was 1-2 with one save and a 3.60ERA in 11 relief appearances with the Bisons (20.0IP, 16H, 8ER, 8BB, 18K). Slocum was 3-5 with a save and a 4.62ERA in 18 games and 11 starts in Buffalo (62.1IP, 59H, 32ER, 33BB, 55K).
