Durham Bulls News Release
Durham, NC - The Durham Parks & Recreation Fireworks show scheduled for Friday, July 4th at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park has been rescheduled for Monday July 7th at the DBAP following the Durham Bulls game against the Norfolk Tides. Anyone with a ticket stub from the Independence Day Celebration can redeem their ticket for a ticket to the game and fireworks show. People wanting to attend who didn't have a ticket can enter the ballpark after the 7th inning to enjoy the fireworks.
Friday's festivities were cut short when a severe thunderstorm flooded the field and knocked out power at the ballpark just as Kevin Costner and his band had finished their set.
"I guess Crash Davis can still get us a rainout," Durham Bulls General Manager Mike Birling joked, "But now anyone who bought a ticket got to see a concert, a Bulls game and the fireworks show and we're able to provide a special night for the fans already planning to attend Monday's game."
Tickets may be redeemed at the Durham Bulls Box office on Sunday, July 6th and Monday, July 7th. Tickets may be purchased online anytime at www.durhambulls.com.
