Buffalo Bisons News Release

TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Rochester Red Wings at Frontier Field in the final game of a four-game, home-and-home series (7:05 p.m.). The Herd is looking to avoid the sweep today as the Wings have won the first three games of the series. After tonight's game, the Bisons will return home for the start of a five-game home-and-home series with the Syracuse Chiefs. On the mound tonight for the Bisons will be RHP Jeff Harris. The veteran didn't earn a decision on Monday despite holding Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to one run in five innings. Rochester will go with LHP Francisco Liriano.

SOLID STARTER: RHP Jeff Harris is coming off three solid starts, but hasn't been able to collect a victory in any of them. Since June 20, the veteran is 0-1 despite a solid 3.38ERA. In those three starts, Harris has struck out 14 and walked just one in 16 innings of work. On Monday, he allowed just one run on four hits in five innings, but the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees scored four in the ninth inning for a 5-4 win.

LOVE THE WINGS: INF Michael Aubrey continues to do well against Rochester pitching this year. He collected two more hits last night and now has averaged .364 (16-44) in 10 games against the Red Wings. In those 10 games, Aubrey also has five doubles, a home run, four RBI and six runs scored.

ROSTER MOVE: The Cleveland Indians have signed RHP Preston Larrison and activated him to the Bisons roster. Larrison was 2-2 with a 3.31ERA in 29 games with Toledo before exercising an opt-out clause in his contract. He was originally a 2nd round pick of the Tigers in 2001.

BISONS BITS: The Bisons have lost five consecutive games for the first time this season. Their last five-game losing streak was July 15-19, 2006...OF Jason Cooper drove in his team-leading 37 run of the season last night. His 214RBI are the 2nd-most in the Bisons Modern Era (Bill Selby, 245).
