
Bisons Promote RHP Frank Herrmann from Double-A Akron

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that RHP Frank Herrmann has been promoted from Double-A Akron to the Herd roster. Herrmann is expected to start for the Bisons tonight as the team takes on the Rochester Red Wings at Frontier Field (7:05 p.m.)
Herrmann, 24, was 8-3 with a 5.04ERA in 15 starts with Akron (84.0IP, 104H, 55R, 47ER, 22BB, 43K). He leads the Aeros in wins (8) and was a perfect 3-0 with a 5.56ERA in six games in June.
Herrmann is in just his third season of professional baseball after being signed as a non-drafted free agent on August 14, 2005. Last season, Herrmann went 11-5 with a 4.01ERA in 26 games with Single-A Kinston.
