AKRON, OH - Cleveland Indians reliever Joe Borowski will be in uniform for the Akron Aeros Wednesday night at Canal Park as he rehabs a right triceps strain. The game against the Altoona Curve has a 7:05 p.m. start. Borowski is one of two major leaguers that will suit up Wednesday as Pittsburgh Pirates infielder Jack Wilson is in town rehabbing an injury Wednesday and Thursday for the Curve.

The Indians placed Borowski on the disabled list April 15th with the triceps injury and he made a rehab appearance for the Class-A Lake County Captains Monday, pitching a scoreless first inning. Before his injury in Cleveland, Borowski was 0-2 with an 18.00 ERA and two saves in four chances this season. He led the American League in saves in 2007 with 45 for the Indians during their postseason run to the American League Championship Series. Borowski had two saves in last year's postseason.

Borowski was a 32nd round pick of the Chicago White Sox in the 1989 June Draft. The 37-year-old has made 410 career major-league appearances with seven different clubs and has a 21-33 record, 127 career saves and a career 4.18 ERA. In 2003, Borowski saved 33 games for the playoff-bound Chicago Cubs and, in 2006, he closed 36 games for the Florida Marlins.

The Aeros are home Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m., continuing a four-game series with the Curve. Thursday is Roadway Education Day at Canal Park with a 10:35 a.m. start. Left-hander David Huff (3-1, 2.14 ERA) is Akron's scheduled starter. Aeros hitters will face Altoona's Yoslan Herrera (3-3, 2.57 ERA). Wednesday is Family Fun Day at Canal Park with four tickets, four hot dogs, four bags of chips, and four sodas for just $48. The game broadcast begins at 6:50 p.m. on SportsRadio 1350 AM and online at www.akronaeros.com. For more information, please call the Aeros at (330) 253-5151.
