Indians Rally Late But Fall to Emeralds, 12-8

The Indians could have rolled over after falling into an early 8-0 deficit against the Emeralds on Saturday night. Instead, Spokane showed the "Spirit of '74" and rallied for seven runs in the seventh inning before ultimately falling to Eugene, 12-8, in front of 4,008 fans at Avista Stadium for Expo '74 Celebration & Fireworks Night presented by Holliday Heating + Cooling + Electric & K-102 Country.

TOP PERFORMERS

Braiden Ward had a pair of hits, drove in a run, and stole his seventh base over the last two games. The former UW Husky speedster is batting .429 (6-for-14) with two doubles, four RBI, and eight stolen bases in the month of May.

Robby Martin Jr. and Juan Guerrero both finished 2-for-5 with two RBI while Trevor Boone had two hits, scored twice, and picked up an RBI.

Right-hander Sergio Sanchez tossed a scoreless sixth and seventh inning, allowing the Indians to rally within a run at 8-7 in the seventh.
