
Indiana Alley Cats Defeat Pittsburgh for 12th Straight Win

Anderson, IN. Sparked by Tyson Chandler's 32 points, the undefeated Indiana Alley Cats down the Pittsburgh Xplosion 131-116 in exciting American Basketball Association action. Playing their third road game in four nights, the Xplosion got off to a quick start, leading 39-33 at the end of the first quarter. But the Alley Cats exploded for 46 points in the second quarter to take control of the game and leave division rival Pittsburgh with a record of 5-7.
Forward Janerio Spurlock paced the Xplosion with 31 points and guard Isaac Jefferson nearly recorded a triple-double with 17 rebounds, 13 assists and 9 points. Kyle Crawford scored 20, Shohn Williams added 19 and Coleco Buie contributed 16 points and 8 assists for Pittsburgh.
For the Alley Cats, Lester Jones scored 18 and Carl Edwards added 14 while Brandon Bentley snared 12 rebunds and Lincoln Glass dished out 8 assists. Pittsburgh lost all three games on the road trip and hope to rebound at home Monday night at Mellon Arena where they face the Toledo Ice at 7pm.
