Maryland Nighthawks' Six-Game Winning Streak Ends

December 12, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maryland NightHawks News Release

The ABA Maryland Nighthawks six game winning streak was ended by the Rochester RazorSharks on Saturday night in Rochester. However, the Nighthawks rebounded quickly returning to their home court on Sunday to defeat cross-town rivals, the Baltimore Pearls 135-130 in exciting American Basketball Association action.

Forward Ray "Hops" Cunningham had another huge performance finishing with 30 points and 13 rebounds while All-Star guard Randy "White Chocolate" Gill also had another big game finishing with 23 points and shooting over 60% from the three-point line. Tom Doyle, Nighthawks owner said, "I'd sure like to see Randy in the NBA 3-point shooting contest...this kid can shoot as well as any guard in America." The Nighthawks, now 9-3 for the season, return home on Saturday, December 17th at 7pm to face the Buffalo Rapids under the new ownership of Santa Claus. It's a game you'll want to see.
