Elmira, NY- The Elmira Jackals are currently the hottest team in the North Division of the American Conference, going eight and two in their past 10 games. Coming into the weekend the Jackals have won four straight and only trail the first place Cincinnati Cyclones by one point in the North Division Standings.
The Jackals open the weekend on Friday when they host the Trenton Devils at 7:35 p.m. Its WETM Candy Bar Night! The Jackals close out the weekend with a home ice, Saturday night battle against the Reading Royals at 7:35 p.m. Both nights the Jackals will wear special jerseys that will be auctioned off after Saturdays game.

Season Series: The (27-19-1-3) Jackals match up with the (24-18-2-2) Trenton Devils for the 12th time this season. The Jackals own the season long series at 6-5, with the most recent win coming last Sunday at First Arena, 4-3.
Playoff Hockey: With only 22 games remaining in the regular season, the Jackals currently sit in second place in the North Division. Elmira trails first place Cincinnati by one point while holding a point advantage on the Wheeling Nailers and a six point lead on the fifth place Trenton Devils.
Top Dogs: The Jackals are led by Pierre-Luc Faubert's 41 points (16g 25a) in 48 games. Benoit Doucet has netted 14 goals to accompany 24 assists for 38 points in 50 games and Chris Korchinski places third in scoring with 48 points (18g 18a) in 46 games played.
Opposing Threats: The Devils scoring department is led by Eric Castonguay with 37 points (13g 24a) in 35 games. Defenseman Ryan Gunderson has netted 36 points (3g 33a) in 46 games played. Forward Jeff Prough rounds out the top three with 19 goals and 14 assists (33points) in 42 games.
Tough Goaltending: Mitch O'Keefe enters the weekend with ECHL honors for being the top goaltender last week. O'Keefe has gone 4-0 in his past four starts, adding to his .895 save percentage and 2.91 goals against average. Michael Teslak sits on a 2.99 goals against average and an .898 save percentage and has gone 4-1 in his past five starts. Trenton goaltender Gerald Coleman leads the ECHL with a 2.01 goals against and a 0.926 save percentage.
