Impact Acquires Goalkeeper Kristian Nicht on Loan

Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced on Thursday that the club acquired German goalkeeper Kristian Nicht on loan from NASL club Indy Eleven, until March 4, 2015. The deal is contingent on the player passing his medical test.
"We needed to add Kristian due to a unique circumstance," declared technical director Adam Braz. "We needed another goalkeeper for the Champions League as Maxime Crepeau has a shoulder injury and Eric Kronberg is ineligible for the tournament after having played with Sporting KC."
Nicht, 32, played the majority of his career in the German first and second divisions before making the jump to North America in 2012.
Following two seasons with the Rochester Rhinos (USL Pro), where he was named Goalkeeper of the Year in 2012, Nicht joined Indy Eleven in 2014, starting 27 regular season games and two US Open Cup matches, as well as serving as team captain.
In Germany, Nicht played for the Stuttgart Kickers, FC Nuremberg, Alemannia Aachen and Karlsruher SC.
