
FC Dallas Waives Brian "Cobi" Span

FRISCO, Texas (Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015) - FC Dallas has waived midfielder/forward Brian "Cobi" Span, the club announced today.
Span joined FC Dallas on Jan. 9, 2014, when Major League Soccer conducted a weighted lottery to determine which team the midfielder would join. The 22-year-old University of Virginia product spent the first five matches of the season in Dallas before being loaned to USL PRO side, Orlando City on April 2. During his time with Orlando, Span logged 1,292 minutes in 19 appearances, scoring three times.
Span returned to Dallas several times throughout the 2014 season to play in FC Dallas Reserves matches. He finished the year with one goal and one assist in 440 minutes of action. He suited up for four FC Dallas first team matches last season but did not make an appearance.
