
Blas Perez Departs FC Dallas Preseason Camp to Join Panama

FRISCO, Texas (Thursday, Feb. 5) - FC Dallas forward Blas Perez traveled to California today to join the Panama National Team for Sunday's friendly with the U.S. Men's National Team at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. The match is scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m. CT and will air live on ESPN.
FC Dallas defender Matt Hedges remains in camp with the U.S. Men's National Team and could make his first national team appearance in this match as well.
Perez earned his first cap in 2000 against Guatemala. Since then, the 6'1" forward has appeared in 86 matches for his country. He scored nine goals in 18 appearances for Panama during the 2014 World Cup qualifying cycle and added three goals in four games en route to a runner-up finish in the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
In three seasons with FC Dallas, Perez has appeared in 74 MLS regular-season matches, scoring 31 goals (4th all-time in FC Dallas history) and tallying 13 assists. Perez will rejoin FC Dallas to continue preseason training next week.
