
Steven Gerrard to Wear No. 8 Jersey for LA Galaxy

CARSON, Calif. (Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015) - The LA Galaxy announced today that midfielder Steven Gerrard will wear the No. 8 jersey when the midfielder is scheduled to join the club in July. Fans can now pre-order the Designated Player's LA Galaxy jersey at www.teamlastore.com.
Gerrard, one of Liverpool and England's most iconic players, is set to join the Galaxy in July during MLS' summer transfer window. He is expected to make his first appearance in a Galaxy jersey when the team faces the San Jose Earthquakes in the California Clasico on Friday, July 17 at StubHub Center.
Since 2004, Gerrard has worn the No. 8 jersey for Liverpool.
The LA Galaxy will open the 2015 MLS Season with a match against the Chicago Fire at StubHub Center on Friday, March 6 beginning at 7 p.m. PT. The game will be broadcast live nationally on UniMás.
Season tickets for the 2015 MLS season are on sale now, starting as low as $19.50 per game.
