
Toronto FC Set to Meet Montreal Impact in 2015 Amway Canadian Championship Semi-Finals

Canada Soccer announced the schedule for the 2015 Amway Canadian Championship schedule on Thursday, the eighth in tournament history. Toronto FC is scheduled to play the Montreal Impact in the semi-finals, consisting in a home and away fixture similar to previous seasons.
The first leg of the semi-final is scheduled for Wednesday, May 6 in Montreal, with the return leg in Toronto on Wednesday, May 13. Ottawa Fury FC will play FC Edmonton in a preliminary knock-out round to determine the fourth semi-finalist, who will then play Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
The finals will also be played under similar fixtures, taking place on Wednesday, August 12 and Wednesday, August 26. The winner of the 2015 Amway Canadian Championship will be the Canadian representative in the 2016-17 CONCACAF Champions League. The finals have been moved to August in order to accommodate the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup both taking place this summer.
Toronto FC won a record four consecutive Canadian Championships from 2009-12. The Reds also advanced to the semi-finals of the 2011-12 CONCACAF Champions League, the furthest amongst all Canadian clubs.
