HENDERSON, NV - NBA G League Ignite (0-12) fell to the Stockton Kings (9-2), 105-74, on Saturday at The Dollar Loan Center in Henderson, Nev.
Ignite was led by Babacar Sane, who had a final stat line of 17 points and four rebounds on 5-of-8 shooting from the field. London Johnson followed with 15 points, while Tyler Smith added 10 points. Izan Almansa grabbed a season-high 15 rebounds.
Deonte Burton and Skal Labissiere paced the Kings with 18 points each, while Labissiere added eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Kessler Edwards posted a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds on 7-of-14 shots from the field. Jordan Ford finished with 14 points and five assists.
In a slugfest throughout the first half, the Kings pulled out an early advantage at the halfway mark. Ignite struggled to find its rhythm after totaling 39 points through two quarters, matching a season low. The Kings edge out a 47-39 lead at halftime despite shooting 18.8 percent from behind the arc. The Kings erupted in the third quarter en route to shooting 63.2 percent from the field, including 64.3 percent from behind the arc, while taking a 25-point advantage in the frame. Deonte Burton helped the Kings pull away after pouring in 12 of his 18 points in the third quarter on 3-of-4 shooting from behind the arc. Ignite's struggles continued after falling behind by as much as 31 points in the fourth quarter as the Kings coasted to the victory.
