
Idaho acquires Tim Barnes

BOISE, Idaho, December 8, 2006 - The Idaho Stampede has acquired guard Tim Barnes and waived guard Mike Efevberha.
Barnes, 6-0, 170, was waived by Bakersfield on December 5 after playing in and starting five games for the Jam (1-4), averaging 24.8 minutes, 5.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists. He played his senior season of collegiate basketball at Cal State Bakersfield after being named the Big 12 Conference newcomer of the year as a junior at Iowa State.
Efevberha was selected by the Stampede in the 10th round (112th overall) of the 2006 D-League Draft. He had played in five games for Idaho, averaging 6.2 minutes, 2.2 points and 1.0 rebound.
Idaho (1-6) returns to action on Thursday, December 14 at Anaheim (3-4).
