
Mavericks Assign Mensah-Bonsu to Flyers

FORT WORTH, Texas, December 8, 2006 - The Dallas Mavericks have assigned rookie forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu to the Fort Worth Flyers.
Mensah-Bonsu, 6-9, 240, has played in one game this season for the Mavericks (vs. Washington on 11/21) and grabbed one rebound in three minutes. He was signed by the Mavericks on August 3, 2006 as a free agent.
A first-team Atlantic 10 All-Conference selection in 2005-06 following his senior season at George Washington, Mensah-Bonsu ranks second on GW's career blocked shots list with 141. He averaged 12.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.65 blocks as a senior.
The Flyers will celebrate Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl/Military Appreciation Night on Friday, December 15 at 7 p.m. as the Flyers host the Tulsa 66ers at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
