CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - The Corpus Christi IceRays will be hosting their 8th annual Stars & Stripes Night presented by Whataburger and First Title Company on Saturday, February 7 at the American Bank Center while the IceRays host the Lone Star Brahmas at 7:05 p.m. The event is presented to honor not only the members of the military but law enforcement and first responders in the Corpus Christi community.
"This game is one of my favorite games and also one of the most attended game during the last eight seasons," said IceRays general manager Pat Dunn. "It is our time to honor and reward all first responders and our military men and women that put their lives on the line each and every day. It wouldn't be possible without the generosity of our sponsors. Jeff Altman and Brent Chesney from Whataburger and First Title Company, respectively, never say no to this event. We can't thank them enough, they deserve all the accolades."
The IceRays will be distributing free tickets to all first responders, law enforcement officials, and members of the military as a show of gratitude for their service and continued commitment to the community as well as the nation. Paired along with that, the IceRays will be adorning special uniforms to help honor those men and women. The jerseys will be auctioned off in the Eddie Jackson, New York Life Post-Game Jersey Auction immediately following the evening's game.
Along with the event, both Whataburger and First Title Company have been proud supporters of Stars & Stripes Night, sponsoring the event for the 8th-straight year.
"Whataburger has a long history of supporting professional and youth sports, and in addition to their success on the ice, the IceRays do so much to invest in the local community," said Whataburger Field Marketing Coordinator, Sarah Stevens. "Whataburger is proud to join the IceRays in honoring our military members and first responders, and we're grateful to all our loyal customers who have helped make it possible for us to sponsor Stars & Stripes Night."
"I am so proud to be associated with Stars & Stripes Night put on by the Corpus Christi IceRays," said Brent Chesney, CEO of First Title Company. "It is a small token of thanks to all the area first responders and their families for the sacrifice they have made for our country. First Title Company is so thankful and appreciative for our first responders and we love being able to give free tickets not just to the first responders but to their wonderful families as well. God bless them all."
Saturday is also a Corpus Christi Caller-Times Family 4-Pack Night, offering families four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas for just $46.
