Week 13 Recap
It was only a matter of time for the Rockford IceHogs club-record unbeaten streak to come to an end and on Sunday it came to to a halt at 12 games. The IceHogs split two games during Week 13 and are scheduled to play a full slate of games during Week 14, including three at the Rockford MetroCentre.

Transactions
-Defenseman Dan Boeser was activated from the 7-Day Injured Reserve on Sunday, Jan. 15.
-Goaltender Marek Roznik was added as the Emergency Goaltender on Sunday, Jan. 15
-Defenseman Corey Hessler was loaned to the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) on Friday, Jan. 13.
-Defenseman Matt Gens was loaned to the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) on Friday, Jan. 13
-Goaltender Michel Robinson was loaned to the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) on Friday, Jan. 13.
-Defenseman Bob Nardella was activated from Team Suspension on Wednesday, Jan. 11.
Bacon Bits:
The Hogs had their club-record 12-game unbeaten streak come to an end on Sunday against Quad City. The Hogs had not lost a regulation game since December 10.
Defenseman Corey Hessler became the 11th Hogs skater to get loaned to the American Hockey League this season, the most free agents loaned from one team in AA hockey.
Hessler scored his first career AHL goal on Sunday for Milwaukee in the Admirals 4-3 overtime win over Toronto.
The Hogs lost for the first time this season when leading at the end of a period. The Hogs were leading Quad City 2-1 after the first frame.
Rockford also suffered their first one-goal loss in regulation this season on Sunday, falling 3-2.
The IceHogs have allowed only five power-play goals over their last 15 games and lead the UHL with a 90.0% penalty kill rate.
The IceHogs, who have played a UHL season-high 22 home games, will play their next three contests on home ice. After the homestand, Rockford will play the next five games on the road.
Rockford's goaltending tandem of Ronnie Vogel and Michel Robinson has the best goals against average in the UHL in the shootout, stopping 71.8% of the opposition's shootout attempts.
Hot Hog Week 13:
For the second straight week, IceHogs center Preston Mizzi is the Hogs Player of the Week. Mizzi chipped in assists in each of the hogs two games during Week 13.
Upcoming Games:
Wednesday, Jan. 18 vs. Fort Wayne Komets. The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. The Hogs and Komets meet for the second time at the MetroCentre. It's another FlyAway Wednesday with the Chicago-Rockford International Airport, Allegiant Air and WXRX-FM 104.9.
Friday, Jan. 20 vs. Port Huron Flags. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. The Hogs and Flags drop the puck at the MetroCentre for the second time this season. The first 1,000 fans to the game will receive IceHogs Poster #4 in a series of seven from Medicine Man, Johnson Press, Pepsi and the Rockford Register Star.
Saturday, Jan. 21 vs. Flint Generals. The battle begins at 7:05 p.m. The Hogs and Generals mix it up at the B.O.B. The first 1,000 fans to the MetroCentre will receive an IceHogs hat courtesy of Wireless One, WIFR-TV channel 23 and WXRX-FM 104.9.
Sunday, Jan. 22 at Fort Wayne Komets. The game starts at 4:05 p.m. The Hogs wrap-up a four-game week in Fort Wayne against the division rival Komets.

Rockford IceHogs fans can catch all IceHogs Regular and Post Season games on Rockford's Voice, WNTA-AM 1330. Fans can also watch and listen to the Hogs on the World Wide Web with the B2 Networks! Log on to the IceHogs Web site (icehogs.com) and click on the "click here to watch the game live" icon, and for just $6, you can catch all of the IceHogs action on your computer. New to the network this season is ESPN Radio "The Jock" 1380 AM. The Jock will broadcast 20 Hogs games during the regular season. Check your local listings. Also, fans with Insight Cable television can tune in to Channel 57 for all the IceHogs hockey action this season. The broadcast begins with the Pregame Show 20 minutes before the puck drops. Make sure to give your opinion during the 10th Inning Bar and Grill Post-Game Call-In Show following each home game at (815) 874-8255.
Internet Inconvenience:
The Rockford IceHogs would like to extend an apology to all the Hogs fans who have tried to listen or view the broadcast on icehogs.com through the B2 Networks when the team is in Fort Wayne. The Komets have chosen not to adhere to league rules and do not have B2 Network access in the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum at this time. IceHogs fans can catch all the Hogs games, home and away via broadcast and video through the B2 Network on icehogs.com all season, with the exception of the games played in Fort Wayne. The UHL is currently addressing the situation in Fort Wayne and we will let you know if anything changes. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have created.

HogTalk Returns Tonight At Shooter's North:
HogTalk returns tonight at Shooter's North located at 7742 Forest Hills Road in Loves Park from 6:30-7:30 p.m. The show is hosted by WXRX's Jim Stone and Double T and features IceHogs Head Coach Steve Martinson each Monday. Also this week, Chaz Johnson and Ryan Carrigan will be there to talk Hogs hockey and meet fans.
