
IceHogs Recall Mattson, Fuel Ink Wintoneak

INDIANAPOLIS - The American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs announced Wednesday that the team has recalled defenseman Nick Mattson from the ECHL's Indy Fuel. The Fuel also announced the signing of forward Walker Wintoneak to the team.
Mattson has appeared in five games for the Fuel this season, recording no points and a +2 rating with four minutes in penalties. The 24-year-old Chanhassen, Minn. native was selected in the sixth round, #180 overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. This is his first year of pro hockey after a four-year career at the University of North Dakota.
Wintoneak returns to the Fuel after putting up an assist and a +2 rating in a pair of pre-season games with Indy prior to the start of the 2015-15 ECHL regular season. Wintoneak appeared in two games with the Peoria Rivermen of the SPHL with a goal and two points in those contests.
NEXT HOME GAME: Friday, October 30 vs. Fort Wayne Komets - 7:35 p.m. Indy returns to Indiana Farmers Coliseum to "Fuel the Fight" against breast cancer in their second annual Pink in the Rink Night, presented by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. The Fuel will sport special pink jerseys during their battle with the Komets, which will be available after the game during a post-game auction, with all net proceeds benefitting Susan G. Komen Central Indiana. All in attendance will also receive a free pink Fuel buff.
