
IceHogs Reassign Gotovets to Fuel

INDIANAPOLIS - A seventh-round selection (183rd overall) of the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Minsk, Belarus native Kirill Gotovets was reassigned to the Indy Fuel by the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL, the Fuel announced Wednesday. A 5'11" 194 lb. left-handed shooting defenseman, Gotovets tallied one goal and two points in nine AHL appearances for the 'Hogs with eight penalty minutes and a +1 rating. In 38 ECHL appearances for the Fuel this season, Gotovets has six goals, 11 points and 33 penalty minutes to his credit.
In his only previous professional experience, Gotovets, 23, appeared in one game for the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals in the 2013-14 season following the conclusion of a four-year collegiate career at Cornell University from 2010 to 2014. In 112 total NCAA appearances for the Big Red, Gotovets collected three goals, 19 points and 76 penalty minutes.
Next up for the Fuel, it's a Friday clash vs. the Reading Royals with the opening faceoff set for 7:35 pm on "A Capella Appreciation Night" at Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
