IceDogs to Donate Pride Jersey to Hockey Hall of Fame
October 14, 2016 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Niagara IceDogs News Release
The Niagara IceDogs made history last night when they hosted the first ever Pride game in the CHL. The team was featured on Twitter Sports Canada along with many other mainstream news outlets across North America for all the right reasons. Between the support of the IceDogs faithful during the game and the spirited performance by the team, everyone involved helped contribute to a successful evening.
The IceDogs will be donating one of their game-worn pride jerseys to the Hockey Hall of Fame to solidify their spot in hockey eternity. To be a part of a groundbreaking initiative like this is a tremendous honour as the IceDogs strive towards an inclusive and accepting society for everyone. The Niagara IceDogs and the You Can Play project hope to have paved the way for other organizations and leagues to follow in their footsteps.
