
IceDogs Record Second Straight Shutout in 5-0 Win Over Frontenacs

Mark Visentin posted his second shutout in as many nights to lead the Niagara IceDogs passed the Kingston Frontenacs 5-0 on Friday night.
Myles Doan would score a shorthanded goal just over fifteen minutes into the game to give the IceDogs a 1-0 lead. Freddie Hamilton added a power play marker soon after to send the game into the first intermission at 2-0. The Frontenacs managed only four shots on Mark Visentin through twenty minutes of play.
Niagara continued the offensive assault in the second period as Ryan Strome would convert the IceDogs third goal with assists to Freddie Hamilton and Trevor Petersen. Visentin would face only three more shots in the period.
IceDogs captain Andrew Agozzino would extend the lead to 4-0 just over one minute into the third period. his seventh of the season. Minutes later Strome would collect his second goal of the game to give the IceDogs a 5-0 win. Dougie Hamilton recorded two assists in the third period for a total of three on the night.
Visentin would make 16 saves in all for his fourth shutout of the season.
