April 16, 2015 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Niagara IceDogs News Release

The Niagara IceDogs lost a tough one 7-4 to the Oshawa Generals in game four of the Eastern Conference Semi finals.

The Generals jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Hunter Smith and Michael McCarron.

Cole Cassels and Michael Dal Colle added to the lead in the second, making it 4-0 Generals after 40 minutes.

The IceDogs got a power play goal from Carter Verhaeghe just 3:00 into the third period, giving the team the spark it needed. Verhaeghe made it 4-2 with another tally at 7:59. Just 16 seconds later, Jordan Maletta tipped a point shot past Generals goaltender Ken Appleby, making it a 4-3 game which lifted the roof off the Meridian Centre as the crowd went wild. McCarron answered with his second of the game and Tobias Lindberg scored just over two minutes later to make it 6-3 for the Generals. Mikkel Aagaard made it 6-4, but Dal Colle put the game away with an empty netter as the Generals now lead the series 3-1.

The IceDogs face a must-win situation tomorrow night in Oshawa, as they'll try to extend their season and force a game six at the Meridian Centre.
