Kingston - The Kinston Frontenacs Hockey Club and Cataraqui Centre, in support of the Canadian Cancer Society, helped to raise $3,878.82 through the Pink in the Rink jersey auction held in March 2015. Kingston Frontenacs Executive Director of Business Operations, Justin Chenier, and Manager of Partnerships and Game Operations, Chelsea McDermott, presented the cheque to Canadian Cancer Society Kingston Manager, Doug Kane on Monday, April 13, 2015.

Fans bid on autographed, game-worn jerseys from the Pink in the Rink game on Friday, October 17, 2014 versus Plymouth Whalers, where all net proceeds were donated to Canadian Cancer Society. The Frontenacs won the game 6-4 in front of 4,361 fans, a game which included a memorable 'Survivor Walk' in celebration of cancer survivors during the second intermission.

"This gives us a great opportunity to raise awareness and funds and when you look at the heart of what we do as a community team, finding ways to help community causes and bringing the community closer together, is really important for junior hockey," said Chenier.
