IceCats Recall Defenseman

WORCESTER, MA – St. Louis Blues Senior Vice President/General Manager and Worcester IceCats General Manager of Hockey Operations Larry Pleau announced today that the Worcester IceCats have recalled defenseman Trevor Byrne from IceCats ECHL affiliate, the Peoria (IL) Rivermen.

Drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the 5th round, 143rd overall in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, Byrne skated in two games during his stint with the Rivermen. The Weymouth, Massachusetts native registered no points and no penalty minutes with Peoria.

Prior to his loan to the Rivermen, Byrne appeared in seven games for the IceCats, recording one goal and four penalty minutes: 7(1/0/1)4. He notched his first professional goal on October 24th against Springfield.
