Binghamton Senators News Release

BINGHAMTON, New York – The 2002-03 East Division champion Binghamton Senators, top developmental affiliate of the Ottawa Senators – NHL, in conjunction with Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central New York announced today that the team will take part in a plate painting event Monday, November 17th, at The Clay Ground (736 Vestal Parkway, Vestal) beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Several Make-A-Wish® wish kids and families will be on hand for the event as each Binghamton Senator will create his own piece of art with paints and plates donated by The Clay Ground. Each plate will be signed by the player that created it and be made available to fans to purchase via a silent auction. All proceeds from the silent auction will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation®.

The finished plates will be on display beginning November 24th at Binghamton Senators home games and at the club's Center Ice Team Shop locations at Metrocenter and in the Oakdale Mall. Silent bids may be placed on any plates appearing at these locations.

Final bids in the silent auction will be accepted at the Senators' December 19th home game against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:05 p.m. at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York has granted the wishes of nearly 800 children with life-threatening medical conditions since 1985 to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation enriches the lives of children through its wish-granting work. The Foundation's mission reflects the life-changing impact that a Make-A-Wish® experience has on children, families, referral sources, donors, sponsors, and entire communities.
